1920’s Bushido

1920's ina and yori

The kickstarter’s at $12000!! I’m pleased as punch, a huge thanks to all who’ve contributed! You’re all my favorite fan, you know. Anyway, here’s an illustration of Yori and Ina in 1920’s get-ups, because the 1920’s was fashion at its classiest!

I am mightily impressed that you guys managed to reach nearly $15k in a month's time (and you may yet surpass that!)! If you fall short this time around, perhaps you could start over with a longer time period (say, from now til' New Years Day)? Advertising of this sort takes a while to gain momentum, after all, and if you were to try again I think you could come out of the starting gate running because No Need for Bushido Do Need for Go Pro looks like it's starting to hit its stride.

    Pledged. :)

why not to show this art on kickstarter? Updating the project might bring more people to it (or incentive people to up their pledge).

Good point. We'd want the posts to be relevant to the rewards, though, so we'll post an update to the volume 2 cover art this weekend.

I'm still massively worried for the Kickstarter.  We need pretty close to $2000 per day pledged in, at this point, and we seem to be making less than a fifth of that on average.  I'm doing what I can to promote the campaign in my circles, and if necessary I might be able to boost my own pledge slightly a little closer to the deadline, but I'm worried the campaign will fail.

Is there a back-up plan if the Kickstarter doesn't work?

  • jwkovell

Don't take this the wrong way, because we want the campaign to succeed, but even in a worse-case scenario, the comic will return.

I do have a few ideas for plan B (and C), but 1 step at a time.

Thank you for supporting plan A!

I think they should just extend the deadline

  • jwkovell

Unfortunately that is not an option. Once a campaign is live, it's deadline is set.

It's possible that we may try a different goal or timeline, if it looks like that would work. Even though we are currently short of the goal, the response has been really amazing.
