"shōnen" (often anglicised as shounen to avoid non-englsih characters) means boy or young man in Japanese. I would assume that Maru, as a lord and a snobby one at that, would simply refer to him as 'boy'. Of course, that doesn't mean his name isn't actually 'boy'...

But an educated guess is that you can't edit older posts because that would allow sneaky people to rewrite their posts in a discussion once they've realised that those posts didn't cast them in favourable light. Kind of how some people delete their tweets when they realise that people didn't like what they had to say.

If it's really that big of a deal, then people know to screen cap. If it's not that big of a deal, like editing a typo, then it should be allowed because few people would notice or even care.
