yori seems to be having a king arthur moment: 1...2...5!3 sir!3!
My god, I love how you illustrate action!
Just got my hardcopy of No Need For Bushido Vol. 1: Fresh Outta Swords today (complete with signatures and custom sketch of Ina and Yori. Love the little smirk on Ina's face, there. And I've gotta say, that's the best forward I've ever read).
As I've been waiting for this since I first discovered this webcomic back in... 2006ish, I think it was? I'm quite happy. Now all I'm wondering is... when will Volume 2 be available? ^_^
Volume 2? I guess I better get on that!
I'm kind of interested to see who "we" is. There are some shadowy figures outside helping Maru "release" the prisoners.
...Farmers rule?
HIS!
Am I seeing the foot angle right? It /almost/ looks like he sent the guy through the door with a kick to the codpiece. Almost. ;)
Which... wouldbe even funnier. hehe.
Its just cause of the angle of his pants that make it look like that. if you block those out with your finger, you can see it would have hit the guy's abs
Come on, man... have you forgotten who this is?
"his" = sound effect
LOL I love this comic.
either A) haven't been reading the comic long or B) haven't read the comics much huh? was wondering if anyone still bothered commenting on the sound effects... for the record, they're well documented as being a highlight of the comic... lol glad they're still worthy of comment :)
Dude. Killjoy.
Or C) Is always amazed by the sound effects, no matter how many times has seen them. It's always something new.
By the way, is there any sound effect that repeated itself, or is really each and every one unique?
Each and every sound effect is hand-made and crafted lovingly to the standards set by Master Sound Effects Artists of yester-year. Why it is said that the former Tzar of Russia had the great sound effect "Boot to the Head" embossed on his Boot to the Head boots. What greater endorsement can one receive than having one's sound effect used by a famous (not to mention historical) individual?
In feudal era Japan a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a general of a warlord for a crime they didn't commit. These men&women promptly escaped from a maximum security thatched hut with sliding paper doors, to the Ninja underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as Rounin of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The Bushido-Team.

Easiest song I've done here.
Wiat I thought B comes after A..ahhh heck who cares. This is Awsome
"A.B. Bunzocus" doesn't have quite the right ring to it.
that's a really weird angle for his foot... it's like he's throwing a sidekick or something, but his torso is all wrong :/
In fack this is a common kick in wing chun kung fu called a jing-gerk. It's a little high for normaly you aim at the knee but it works in the stomach
Chuck Norris predecessor => Maru's Half round house kick. The next kick in the evolution would be Ryu's Helicopter kick( sorry not very good at the name of things outside of HYDEYOUKEN)
Maru does Yoga every morning
Maru can both pull off wearing purple as well as contort his body into unnatural positions.
I agree. His stance is right for a sidekick, but I don't see how his torso is twisted around in the opposite direction.
This! Is!
On secound thought, no.
MARU! sorry had to be done.
