I wouldn’t want to be wherever Ken’s sword lands.
I guess the rest of the army is just going to stand there and watch them, then.
"if, in your travels, you were to strike at God Himself, he would be cut by this blade..."
Holy guacamole that thin sword the General is using is made of God or something?
So I've been trying to tell for the last few pages, is Nataku using a really long hilted katana or a really short hafted nagamaki. By the fact that the hilt is wrapped I'd assume that it is a katana, but that is an awful lot of hilt.
He's using a sword that cuts things. :3
In my professional opinion I must agree, totally a sword capable of cutting things. Deeply. ;)
Someone is far more knowledgeable about such things than I! Perhaps he just had a custom made katana to suite his immense girth and powerhouse fighting style.
First Panel:FUS RO DAH!!!
Don't mess with the Dovahkiin.
Just realized... He must've used the disarm shout.
I used to be able to disarm zanbato-wielders like that... then I took an arrow to the knee.
NATAKU CRUNCH! its wats for breakfast!
The question is not how a 215 lb general kicks a 180 Ken by bracing with his sword, it's a question about how he grips it!
MP reference aside, how did the general mysteriously reverse his sword grip in order to brace? Hmmmmm? From Grar to Kruch he would have had to release his sword and rotate his grip 180 degrees...it must be the ninjitsu art of off panel switch....
He didn't reverse his grip, he just bent his wrist an awful lot.
Noooo! Ken! Nooooo *weep*
I don't like how this battle is going. I want ken to wiiiiiiiin! *whine*
I would like to comment that if someone were to lean so far backwards before executing a side thrust kick, he would be so off-balance that he would just fall over, his kick having little to no weight behind it.
Unless, Nataku is using his sword to brace against the ground! I sure hope he is, because that would be awesome.
Your assumption is correct, sir. Nataku's counter balancing with his sword to give the most uber-powerful kick possible. That's how the general rolls.
And then his sword got stuck in the ground and they both had to resort to hand-to-hand combat.
ahem.SCREW the rules i have SAKE!
Actually, look at the panels before the kick, and the hands in the panel where he's kicking. It very much looks like he's using the sword to brace himself..
Yes. That is the most ridiculous thing about this strip.
Ken must be low on Saki.
u know, i always thot ur pic was a camel for some reason....
I can see that. It is a bit small here.
"I wouldn't want to be wherever Ken's sword lands"
What about where Ken himself lands?
that scene in indiana jones where the little indian kid get klonked with a hammer anyone?cept itd probly be with a soldier. anybody else notice that the soldiers all wear red? are they red-shirts perhaps?
I will go on record and say that I find this and the previous 2 pages entirely plausible.
GUTS!!!!!I don't think that another soundeffect is needed here.
Oh, I think I totally have to use that sound effect now!
D-D-D-DO YOU HAVE IT?
Ooooh, those ribs are gonna be sore in the morning.
It looks like Ken got a
I actually was expecting Ken to get Kadooshed, but I also was hoping that general would get his butt kicked.
Notice how Ken's Falcon Punch failed because Falcon Kick is quicker! Alex's references to Smash Brothers are hard to find, but we find them nevertheless.
I bet you can't wait until I throw in Snake's grenade spam technique!
What I can't wait to see is Ina hitting someone with a golf club.
Well, now Ken has something to fight for anyways.Besides sake... And kadoosh... Yeah, I think Ken won't change that much from this.
I think the only thing we can say is that Nataku made a successful called shot to Ken's self esteem.
hands up :P
anyone else see this coming? come on, raise your hands!
I actually expected the sword to break >.>
