FUMP

  • Bob

His death might have seemed less corny if his words before 'Urk' had become visually more fragmented, and we'd seen him mid-drop for one frame...

But his death actually ends up looking anti-climactic :/

  • Robbert eijndhoven

Say what you will about Ryoku, but at least his final words were marginally more dignified than "Urk."

  • Gillsing

Yeah, Uso. It really is inconceivable.

  • KungFuKlobber

    That word.

  • Can anyone tell a brand new reader when the comic updates? Please?

  • Every Monday.

  • Thank you very much! Yet another wonderful webcomic to make my Mondays worth it.

  • Dasick

Just spent five minutes figuring out the first usage of the "Yorikiro" that gave away the trickster.

    http://noneedforbushido.com/20...

Also, if you do these kinds of elementary watsons, having links to all the clues would be nice, since that page is almost a year old. Webcomic plots tend to suffer from the worst case of goldfigs viewerism, merely because the updates are pages spaced by weeks.

    Oh, and good job!

  • BaufenBeast

Hm, the fog is gone. I guess that means the poison was purged with Uso's death.

  • Nathaniel Grundy

Maybe now we'll finally find out how the guy's mask perfectly conforms to his eye socket.  DEMASK HIM!

  • KungFuKlobber

    *GASP*

It was the "Wooooo! Farmers!" guy all along! And he would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids.

  • BaufenBeast

    It's painted on.

  • ShadeTail

Stabbed through the heartAnd you're to blameYou give love a bad name

  • ShadeTail

    Oh for...

Carriage returns don't work in the comments, I see.

  • ShadeTail

    And *NOW* they work.

    *eyeroll*

  • Marduk

I just love Ino's pompous look on the second panel. She has a refreshingly stronger attitude than most damsels in distress. No problem with those, but this is much welcome.

  • Crazymathman

lol that's cuz Ino isn't your typical damsel in distress, as she's usually quite capable of looking after herself.

  • Jade Dragon

    umm... Ino?? lol

  • Astralfury

Yay about half of us called that, does not make it any less epic to see it coming though!

  • Kzkskippy

That's a trick too, stab him again!

  • ShadeTail

It's a good argument for the old samurai practice of removing the dead guy's head. They turned it into a cultural symbol of honor, but hey, it's also proof that the dead guy's really dead!

  • DressedToTheNines

I noticed the full name usage thing there.  Awesome as always!

  • teabag

Uso Died for his master, send flowers to his bitches and hoes

  • Commander Clash

Be sure to line up a new pimp to fill the power vacuum left.

  • I'm glad this time you put up a sign on the door to the world saying 'DND BOSS BATTLE' so we could enjoy it uninterrupted. ;)

  • Vash775

    FUMP goes the weasel.

  • Adam850

Ina caught on pretty quick.  I thought she'd be more shocked. Maybe Yori clued her in in #452.

  • suzuki_formerly_zack

    seriously. figurines. nao.

  • Anon

"I'MDEAD!" would've been a nice alternate sound effect, but that works too.

    Another Demon of Sorrow, banished!

  • Marduk

Haha, well i love their unsound effects but everything in moderation, right?

  • Tanonev

Noticing a pattern here, with Yori defeating blind Ryoku with his eyes closed, and deceptive Uso with a trick of his own.  Wonder how he'll handle the other Demons?

  • suzuki_formerly_zack

    twill be interesting.
yori: (seeing the guy wearing armor) oh noes! i cantz defeat you!
guy: hahaha! too true my epic armor will deflect any attack!
yori: (puts on heavier armor) ha! now i am turtle too!
    guy: arggg!
    ....
yori: so i guess whoever rusts first loses...

  • BaufenBeast

More specifically, I wanna see the fight with Honou-ko. His strength is being a badass.

  • Guest

That trick wakizashi is worth it's weight in gold. Brilliant steal by Yori ;)

  • Jon

So does Uso's eye swirl? Or is it a stationary symbol?

I like to think it's all swirly

  • Jerzy Redlarski

It probably stops once he's dead anyway... otherwise it would be quite funny when other DoS find his body

    - Hey! He's dead!
    - No, see, his eye is still swirling! It's just another trick of his.

  • ShadowRoadz

    Yeah, saw that coming...

  • Vrolok

Finally, Yori catches on! Also, did he whisper to Ina about the trick blade on page 452? She seemed to take it pretty coolly. Also, I really like the sudden atmosphere change as soon as he dies, nice touch!

  • I'm pretty sure she already knew about it and was just playing along. She was either there when he bought it, and/or was around when it got Chekov'sTrickSword'd the first time, but I'm too lazy to go back through the archives to double check.
